How often should I review my annuity portfolio?
Answered By Ammon Yorke, Editor
As much as possible, you should check your annuity portfolio regularly at least once or twice a year. Most of the records of the investors purchasing annuity plans, including their heirs are now compiled in computer systems, so it is a must for that investor to look into if their remittances are properly recorded in the system. Due to some technical problems arising in the use of bigger computer systems as storage of their client’s records such as off-line problems and failure of processing systems, payments made are not properly encoded in the system, thus resulting in the delay of the release of paychecks of the plan owner.
Another reason why you should check your annuity portfolio is to see some financial changes in your annuity especially when there is a change in your business strategies, or a newly-born child that you want to be the recipient of your investment.
